The prevalence of HBV, HCV and HIV infections among blood donors in Izmir, Turkey.

چکیده
The evaluation of the data of the prevalence of the transfusion transmitted infections (TTIs), Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Hepatitis C virus (HCV) and Human immunodeÞ ciency virus (HIV), among blood donors permits an assessment of the acquisition of the infections in the blood donor population and consequently the safety of the collected donations. It also gives an idea for the epidemiology of these infections in the community.[1] Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to determine the prevalence of serological markers of HBV, HCV and HIV in the population of blood donors in Izmir, Turkey.
